Red lentils are a very nutritious and flavourful plant based protein. They provide a high quantity of fiber, they are a good source of iron and magnesium and they are rich in vitamins – especially folate which is a type of B vitamin.


Being so small, they are ready in only 30 minutes – or less, if soaked before cooking or if a pressure cooker is used.
