How to get to Podere Marella
If driving Southbound from Bologna or Florence, or Northbound from Rome on the A1 motorway, take the exit at Valdichiana and turn right, towards Perugia.
At the first roundabout take the free highway to Perugia.
Exit at Pietraia, and again turn right, towards Ferretto/Pietraia.
After a few hundred meters, you’ll find a sign to the left, pointing you to Ferretto.
Take the road and follow it until you get to the hamlet of Ferretto, which is basically a big church at the crossroads and a few houses around it.
At the church turn right towards Petrignano.
After approx 1 km you’ll see a white handpainted sign on your left, and a dirt road into the woods. Follow it right to the end, past a wooden gate, and you will find yourself at the house.
If arriving from the Adriatic coast or Perugia, take the free highway towards Siena. Again exit at Pietraia, then follow the same directions as above.

The nearest airports are Perugia Sant’ Egidio (53km) and Florence (125 km). Forlì, Ancona, Pisa, Bologna and Rome (Fiumicino and Ciampino) are also within easy reach.
