Our Organic Wines

Fiammetta Inga, mother of the current owner, moved to Podere Marella in 1974 and turned to organic wine making shortly thereafter, setting up one of the first Italian organic wineries. Forty years on, the estate still produces high quality red, white and rosé Umbria IGT and Trasimeno DOC wines.

The focus is on quality at all stages of production – through low yields, rigorous grape selection and manual harvesting. New wines are researched and developed with the supervision of French oenologist Jean Natoli – whose collaboration is at the heart of the continuous improvement of the wines over the years – with the support of agronomist Gwenaël Thomas and Italian oenologist Guido Beltrami, who recently joined the team.
