September 2019 – Godot Grechetto 2018 awarded Silver Medal at Mundus Vini

Podere Marella wines receive excellent ratings in the latest edition of Luca Maroni’s guide, with Godot Grechetto being awarded 95 points, followed by Marella Rosato 2018 and Fiammetta 2016 both with 90 points.

Mundus Vini Biofach 2019: Podere Marella Awarded 3 Medals

This year our Caluna 2015 and Fiammetta 2015 have both been awarded Silver Medals, whereas our Godot Sangiovese 2014 has been awarded a Gold Medal, following in the footsteps of the 2013 and 2011 vintages.

Mundus Vini 2018: Godot Sangiovese 2013 wins the golden medal

Our Godot Sangiovese 2013 was awarded a golden medal at one of the most prestigious wine awards, Mundus Vini 2018, with over 10 000 participants. This year’s edition of spring tasting Mundus Vini was held in Germany in February this year.

Fiammetta 2013 awarded by Slow Wine 2018

Our IGT Umbria red wine Fiammetta received last Saturday, 14th of October, the Slow Wine award under the “Vino Quotidiano” section. Fiammetta has an intense ruby in colour, tending to garnet and a cherry liqueur and candied raspberry aroma, followed by cocoa accents.

Podere Marella at Bellavita Expo in London

From June 18th to 20th we are at Bellavita Expo, the first business to business event dedicated to the Made in Italy wine and food excellences. Bellavita trade shows showcase the latest food and beverages to thousands of international buyers (Restaurant owners, chefs, retail buyers and hoteliers) as well as educational content including trends, masterclasses and seminars.

Cà di Bacco: an exhibition dedicated to the organic wine

From June 1st to 3rd, the Cà di Bacco event will take place in Passignano sul Trasimeno. Among the activities: food and wine tastings, music, workshops for kids, cinema.

Godot 2011 awarded Gold Medal at Mundus Vini

Our Godot Sangiovese IGT Umbria, vintage 2011 received the coveted Gold Medal at the Mundus Vini International Wine Award. The competition, first held in 2001, is one of the most important ones internationally: a highly qualified international jury comprising oenologists, wine-makers, professional wine traders, sommeliers and expert journalists taste the wines, in ‘blind’ tasting rounds.

MILLÉSIME BIO 2017

From 30 January to 1 February 2017 Podere Marella is present at Millésime Bio in Marseille, one of the most important events for organic wines since 1993. Millésime Bio is dedicated to organic wines produced in compliance with the currently applicable European regulations and is restricted to wine trade professionals as well as press.

Podere Marella wines win awards at AWC Vienna

During the 2016 edition of the international wine challange the organic wines of Podere Marella received two different awards:

– GODOT Grechetto IGT UMBRIA BIANCO was awarded the the seal of approval for vintage 2013 (85.8/100)

– GODOT Sangiovese IGT UMBRIA ROSSO was awarded the silver medal for vintage 2013 (89/100)

The wines, tasted at the Federal College and Office of Viniculture and Pomology in Klosterneuburg in single cabins and anonymously only (blind tasting) are rated according to the international 100 points-system. The panel of experts of AWC Vienna consists of national and international oenologists, wine experts, sommeliers, gastronomers, wine traders and journalists.
